Job summary

CSG Consultants, Inc. in Foster City, CA is seeking a Code Enforcement Officer II (as-needed, on-site). This journey-level role performs inspections and enforces ordinances on property maintenance, zoning, blight, and safety to support the local code enforcement program.

Responsibilities include working with the public and staff, maintaining records, and testifying as needed. A CA driver’s license is required; a PC 832 certification must be obtained within six months, with CACEO/ICC/AACE

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Valid California Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.
At least 1 year as Code Enforcement Officer or related public-facing work.
Pass PC 832 Certification within 6 months of placement.
Pursue CACEO/ICC/AACE certification within 2 years.
Ability to perform Code Enforcement Officer II duties.

Responsibilities

Work respectfully and collaboratively with the public, jurisdictional staff, and CSG employees.
Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all parties.
Maintain and provide accurate file/record keeping with confidential information for assigned code enforcement matters and CSG duties.
Enforce laws and may testify in legal proceedings.
Become proficient in databases and resources used.
Safeguard all assigned company and jurisdictional property.
