The Department of Development Services, Building Development, promotes a positive partnership and working relationship with staff and internal and external customers to ensure compliance with building regulations. The Building Code Compliance Branch seeks a highly motivated, high-performing individual to join the team. This position will be filled with efficient and effective customer service-minded individuals who can enforce the provisions of the Uniform Statewide Building Code and provide high-quality education and service to our customers while embracing their essential role as "first preventers." High school diploma or G.E.D. and 3 years of related experience.
This position works a standard Monday-Friday schedule, working 37.5 hours per week.
This telework-eligible position may revert to in-office scheduling if business needs change.
This position may telework 1-2 days per week after an initial probationary period or when agreed upon with the supervisor and approved by the branch manager.
Valid Driver’s License – successful completion of a DMV Check

Must become certified as a technical assistant to the Building Official
$31.96-$45.42 per hour
