Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a senior Coatings Inspector III to lead protective coatings programs across projects. You will review and write coating specifications, inspection and test plans, and ensure quality requirements meet owners and engineers' expectations.

You will investigate coating failures, audit applicators and coating suppliers, supervise Level 1 and 2 inspectors, and advise on coating system selection and service life. Extensive field work in Gulf Coast regions is expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of coatings inspection including supervision.
• AMPP CIP Level 3 certification is required.
• Experience with coatings failure investigations across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities

• Review and write coating specifications, inspection and test plans, and quality requirements.
• Investigate coating failures: field evaluation, sampling, laboratory coordination, and the written finding.
• Audit applicators and coating suppliers; qualify inspection subcontractors.
• Supervise Level 1 and 2 inspectors; calibrate acceptance standards.
• Advise owners and engineers on coating system selection, service life, and maintenance planning.
