Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Coatings Inspector II to lead inspection of protective coatings and linings on industrial, water, and infrastructure projects with sign-off authority at hold points. You will verify surface preparation, application, and cure, and perform adhesion and holiday testing to ensure quality and compliance.

Responsibilities include planning hold points, writing inspection and nonconformance reports, and supervising Level 1 inspectors on larger projects.

Qualifications

• AMPP CIP Level 2 certification required and current.
• 2+ years inspecting under CIP Level 2.
• Experience on tank linings, pipelines, or structural coatings desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan inspection hold points and testing per coating spec.
• Verify prep, application, and cure with sign-off at each hold point.
• Perform adhesion and holiday testing; document and specify repairs.
• Supervise Level 1 inspectors and review their logs.
• Write inspection and nonconformance reports for owners/engineers.
