Job summary

Thomas Brooke International in the Quad Cities seeks a Senior Coatings Chemist to eventually lead the technical function as the current Technical Director retires, over a ~3-year overlap.

You will own formulation programs across aerospace-grade bake coatings, manage a small lab team, ensure AS9100 compliance, and partner with production on scale-up while building external supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of formulating high-performance coatings.
• BS in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science.
• Hands-on epoxy bake systems and thin film technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive hands-on formulation work across epoxy bake systems and related coatings.
• Own raw material strategy and supply considerations in niche inputs.
• Serve as primary technical resource for applicators and customers.
