Job summary

Brunel is seeking a Construction Quality Coating & Insulation Inspector to ensure coating and insulation works meet project specifications, industry standards, and HSSE requirements on FPSO and offshore construction sites. The role combines rigorous visual inspections, thickness measurements, adhesion tests, and careful documentation to verify workmanship and materials meet the contract.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Materials Science, Engineering, or Construction and possess coating

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of coating and insulation inspection experience.
FPSO/offshore/marine project experience preferred.
Coating and insulation inspection certifications (NACE/AMPP/SSPC/FROSIO) required or highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Inspect coatings on structures, piping, vessels, tanks and equipment to ensure compliance with project specs and standards.
Verify surface preparation, coating thickness, adhesion, curing, and application quality per applicable standards.
Inspect insulation installation for fit, joints, and weatherproofing per drawings and specs.
Check material certificates, batch numbers, storage conditions, traceability and product ID.
Monitor ITPs, procedures, drawings and manufacturer recommendations during coating work.
Raise NCRs and observations; ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed out.
Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare status updates for QA/Project Manager.
