Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a specialized Civil Engineer with coastal/maritime expertise to join a fully remote team. You will design, analyze, and manage ports, harbors, offshore foundations, and marine energy projects from a home office.

Requirements include 6+ years in coastal/maritime design, proficiency with Delft3D/Mike 21, strong hydraulics/oceanography knowledge, and excellent remote communication and technical writing skills. PE/Pr Eng is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering with coastal/maritime specialization.
• Minimum 6 years of coastal/maritime project design experience.
• Proficiency in Delft3D or Mike 21 and structural analysis tools.
• Strong hydraulics, oceanography and marine geotechnics.
• Excellent technical writing and remote communication skills.
• PE registration (Pr Eng) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze coastal structures for ports, harbors, breakwaters, seawalls.
• Conduct studies on wave mechanics, sediment transport, coastal processes.
• Develop offshore foundations and structures considering marine environmental factors.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings for maritime projects.
• Ensure designs comply with maritime codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
• Collaborate virtually with clients, marine biologists, naval architects, and other specialists.
