The role requires deep coastal process understanding, PE licensure or eligibility, and 8+ years of relevant experience, with leadership duties and client interaction across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Coastal/Ocean Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Gulf Coast states or ability to obtain.
• 8+ years of coastal engineering experience with project design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of coastal engineering projects, including shoreline protection, restoration, and living shorelines.
• Provide technical leadership across all project phases from planning to monitoring.
• Conduct coastal modeling (waves, sediment transport, hydrodynamics) to inform designs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and permitting across federal, state, and local levels.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate across disciplines.
• Prepare engineering reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Support proposals with technical scopes and cost estimates.
