Job summary

AmerisourceBergen Corporation (Cencora) seeks a Senior Agile Coach to help teams and leaders apply Agile principles, structures, roles, and practices to improve delivery flow and outcomes. You will identify impediments, facilitate learning, and strengthen Agile reporting and tools across complex initiatives.

In this senior role you will mentor peers, partner with Scrum Masters and product owners, and drive adoption of consistent Agile ways of working while communicating progress to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or business.
• 7+ years of experience in Agile coaching and related leadership roles.
• Certification in SAFe SPC, CSM, PMP, PMI-ACP or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach Agile teams and leaders on principles, roles, practices, and team structures to improve flow and outcomes.
• Identify and remove systemic impediments limiting team effectiveness and delivery.
• Facilitate Agile workshops, training, and coaching sessions for varying maturity levels.

• Communicate adoption progress, risks, and recommended actions to leaders.

The Senior Agile Coach helps teams and leaders apply Agile principles, structures, roles, and practices to improve delivery flow, predictability, collaboration, and outcomes. This role supports Agile adoption by identifying and helping remove impediments, strengthening team practices, facilitating Agile learning, and improving the use of Agile reporting and tools. At the senior technical level, the role may own a complex Agile workstream or technical delivery area and provide peer coaching while operating with limited guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Coach Agile teams and leaders on Agile principles, roles, practices, and team structures to improve flow, predictability, and outcomes.
• Help identify and remove systemic impediments that limit team effectiveness, delivery flow, or adoption of consistent Agile ways of working.
• Facilitate Agile workshops, training, and coaching sessions tailored to team roles and Agile maturity needs.
• Support Agile reporting and tooling practices to improve transparency, delivery visibility, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Scrum Masters, product owners, delivery teams, technical project leaders, and stakeholders to improve delivery practices across technical initiatives.
• Communicate Agile adoption progress, delivery risks, improvement opportunities, and recommended actions to project and functional leaders.
• Mentor peers and team members on practical Agile behaviors, team facilitation, continuous improvement, and effective use of Agile ceremonies.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
