Job summary

BigBear.ai seeks a Senior CNO Software Engineer and Reverse Engineer with an active TS/SCI with Poly to design, prototype, and deploy mission-critical software for national security. You will bridge research to real-world applications, collaborating with elite analysts and developers to deliver high-impact tools in constrained environments.

You will innovate, reverse engineer, and guide deployments while upholding top-quality code and security standards across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years software engineering with a Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years with a Master’s degree.
• 16+ years experience acceptable in lieu of a degree.
• Hands-on reverse engineering expertise.
• Strong C, C++, and Python development skills.
• Experience coordinating with analysts, operators, and developers.
• Experience supporting fielded software in active environments.
• Familiarity with Git, Subversion, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify end-to-end toolsets for constrained mission environments.
• Reverse engineer complex systems to understand inner workings.
• Collaborate with operators, analysts, and external shops to translate needs into software.
• Guide customers on deployment and operational direction of software.
• Participate in peer code reviews to ensure reliability and security.
