Barnes Aerospace - Warren is seeking an experienced CNC VTL Machinist to operate vertical lathe machines in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment. The role requires handling hard metals and reading operation sheets with accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in CNC machining, experience with major aerospace OEMs, and the ability to work overtime in a fast-paced setting. Safety, quality, and teamwork are essential in this on-site Warren, MI operation.

Qualifications

5+ years operating CNC machinery in aerospace manufacturing.
Experience working with major aerospace OEMs (Pratt & Whitney, GE, Rolls-Royce).
Ability to stand for long periods and climb stairs to access machines.
Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Ability to read and interpret CNC programs at the machine.
Must read tool sheets and set up tools for use on a job or part.
Ability to use precision measuring tools such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

Run Vertical Lathe Machines and other machines in the cell when required.
Interpret operation sheets and program offsets on Fanuc controls.
Load parts onto fixtures and operate hoists to load onto machines.
Work with hard metals (Inconel, Titanium, Stainless Steel) within tight tolerances.
Maintain safety and quality standards in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
