Job summary

Posimech Inc., a 45-year-old AS9100/ISO9001 certified precision machine shop in Medford, NY, seeks a career-focused CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist. You will set up and operate Swiss and other CNC machines, read blueprints, edit CAD/CAM programs, and maintain tolerance standards while contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in aerospace, military, medical or industrial machine shop.
• Experience with Turning, Swiss, and/or Milling machines or CNC machine operator certificate.
• Experience in CNC setup and operation, including legacy and new production orders.
• Experience editing and programming with CAD/CAM software and CNC programs a plus.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of AS9100 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify components produced to print with tight tolerance.
• Make offsets and start machining cycles.
• Load and unload parts from machines.
• Complete production paperwork and change tooling as needed.
• Meet quality standards and production schedules.
• Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Ensure material traceability and safe working conditions.
