Qualifications

• 5+ years of programming and close-tolerance machining in a custom job shop environment.
• Deep proficiency with Fadal and Haas CNC machining centers.
• Strong GD&T interpretation per ASME standards.
• Experience machining stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloys, aluminum, and steel.
• Shop floor leadership and timeline management.

Responsibilities

• Team Supervision: Manage, mentor, and optimize the output of a team of fewer than 10 CNC machinists.
• Hands-on Machining: Set up, calibrate, and operate 7 vertical machining centers and 3 CNC lathes when necessary.
• CNC Programming: Input G&M codes and utilize CAM software to program complex close-tolerance parts.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with customer blueprints and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Tooling & Fixturing: Design and produce custom manufacturing fixtures to safely hold workpieces and optimize production runs.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Coordinate with the Manufacturing Manager, General Manager, President, and Engineering to plan manufacturing timelines and troubleshoot errors.
• Equipment Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance routines, troubleshoot mechanical faults, and minimize machine downtime.
