Job summary

Nolte Precise Manufacturing is seeking a Machine Shop Lead to oversee daily CNC operations, mentor operators, and drive throughput and quality in a fast-paced shop. You will coordinate workflow, support setup and troubleshooting, and partner with maintenance and quality to ensure safe, on-time delivery of parts.

The role balances hands-on machining (CNC turning, milling, Swiss) with supervision, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives to elevate shop performance and profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of precision CNC machining experience.
• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred.
• Hands-on background as a CNC setup/operator required.

Responsibilities

• Lead CNC operators and setup technicians to meet daily production goals.
• Coordinate with Engineering for process improvements and tooling changes.
• Enforce ISO 9001/AS9100 quality procedures and conduct inspections.
• Uphold safety policies and lead 5S and other housekeeping initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce setup times and waste.
