Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a Senior CNC Setup Machinist for a direct-hire role in the Greater Green Bay, WI area.

You will own complex setups on HMC/VMC mills and multi-axis turning centers, edit G-code at the controller, and perform first-article inspections. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of independent CNC setup experience, familiarity with Mori Seiki/Doosan/Fanuc controls, and a track record in aerospace/defense or medical device environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of independent CNC setup experience on HMC/VMC mills or multi-axis lathes, with direct editing of G-code at the controller.
• Close-tolerance aerospace/defense or medical device machining background preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder due to ITAR compliance; reside within commuting radius of Greater Green Bay, WI.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex setups on HMC/VMC mills and multi-axis turning centers with fixture alignments and zero-point adjustments.
• Edit G-code and macro variables at the controller to optimize tool paths and cycles.
• Perform precision first-article inspections using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and optical comparators.
• Maximize cell throughput by reducing bottlenecks and cycle times across active stations.
• Mentor junior operators and support floor skill development and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineering on tool-path optimization, lean initiatives, and DFM reviews.
