6 Degrees Search is seeking a Senior CNC Setup Machinist in the Greater Green Bay, WI area for a direct-hire, first-shift role. You will own complex setups on HMC/VMC mills and multi-axis turning centers, edit G-code at the controller, and perform precision first-article inspections.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of independent CNC setup experience, ITAR compliance, and a track record in aerospace/defense or medical devices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of independent CNC setup experience on HMC/VMC mills or multi-axis lathes.
• Experience editing G-code at the controller is required.
• Background in Aerospace/Defense or medical devices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex CNC setups on HMC/VMC mills and multi-axis turning centers.
• Edit G-code at the controller to optimize tool paths and cycles.
• Perform first‑article inspections with precision metrology tools.
• Mentor junior operators and collaborate with engineering on DFMs.
