Job summary

South Bay Solutions, a high-precision contract manufacturer in Fremont, CA, seeks an experienced CNC Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead programming and engineering operations in a high-mix environment.

This role blends hands-on production support with strategic leadership, driving standardization, lean improvements, and collaboration with Production, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of CNC programming and manufacturing engineering experience.
• 3–5+ years of leadership in a contract manufacturing, job shop, or precision machining environment.
• Strong CAD/CAM proficiency and GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead CNC programmers and manufacturing engineers to deliver on schedule.
• Develop standardized programming libraries, setup sheets, and engineering documentation.
• Drive lean improvements to reduce setup time, cycle time, and scrap.
• Collaborate with Sales, Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure successful programs.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by evaluating manufacturability and developing robust processes.
