Job summary

The Panther Group is seeking a Senior CNC Machinist – Programming for our client in Bristol, RI. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce precision components per engineering drawings and tolerances.

You will work closely with engineering and quality teams to optimize machining processes, verify part dimensions, and document results. The position offers a 8:00AM - 5:00PM schedule, temp-to-hire, with pay between $40 and $45 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC programming and machine setup experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong math skills for geometry and trig relevant calculations.
• Experience with CAM software and various machine shop equipment.
• High school diploma or technical certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute machining plans from drawings and specs.
• Program CNC machines, set tool offsets, and apply compensation.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances through inspection.
• Operate milling, drilling, and waterjet equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve processes.
