Job summary

Global Packaging Systems (GPS) - A Division on PMD seeks an experienced CNC Programmer / Set-Up specialist to program, set up, and prove out CNC milling operations. You will work with Mastercam, solid models, and engineering drawings to develop efficient processes from concept to production.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Quality, and CNC supervision to resolve machining challenges and mentor junior team members. Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience programming and setting up CNC mills with Mastercam.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints and 3D solid models.
• Knowledge of GD&T and fixture development.
• Experience developing machining processes and setup sheets.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, models, and specs to plan machining processes and setups.
• Develop CNC programs using Mastercam and solid models.
• Select tooling, holders, fixtures, and work-holding methods.
• Set up tooling, vises, clamps, and work-holding devices in CNC mills.
• Prove out programs and produce first-off parts; troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve challenges.
