Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Aiken, SC, is seeking a Senior CNC Programmer to own CNC machining strategies and program development for complex engine components. You will lead multi-axis programming, simulate and optimize on the shop floor, and act as the technical authority guiding other programmers and engineers.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, standardized best practices, and collaboration with manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality parts efficiently.

Qualifications

• Technical apprenticeship with technician/master qualification or equivalent experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Experience with CNC programming for high-volume machining.
• Exposure to process capability and SPC concepts.

Responsibilities

• Define and own CNC machining strategies for complex, high-value parts across materials and conditions.
• Develop, simulate, and maintain CNC programs for multi-axis centers.
• Lead shop floor prove-out, commissioning, and optimization; troubleshoot programs as needed.
• Serve as senior technical authority for CNC programming; mentor other programmers and engineers.
• Drive continuous improvement in cycle time, tooling, cost, quality and process robustness.
• Develop and deploy best-practice machining concepts and CNC programming standards across cells.
