Job summary

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions seeks a CNC Programmer II to program and operate CNC turret presses, lasers, and machining centers using CAD/CAM software. Initial focus includes interpreting drawings, generating toolpaths, and optimizing programs for accuracy and efficiency.

You will collaborate with engineering and production, perform test runs, troubleshoot issues, and maintain documentation. 5+ years of CNC programming is preferred; onsite schedule M-F, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Proficient in CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code).
• Experience programming CNC machines and generating toolpaths.
• Ability to optimize toolpaths for efficiency and quality.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in CNC environments.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements and parameters.
• Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software to generate toolpaths for milling, turning, and other operations.
• Optimize CNC programs for efficiency, accuracy, and quality, including tool selection and feeds/speeds.
• Conduct test runs and simulations to verify program accuracy and identify issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to meet design requirements and standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug CNC programs and tooling to resolve problems and improve performance.
• Develop and maintain documentation such as CNC programs and setup sheets.
• Train and mentor junior CNC programmers and machinists on techniques and safety.
