Job summary

Acumed LLC in Addison, TX, is seeking a Senior CNC Programmer for day shift to develop and optimize production programs using CAM software and to mentor machinists on an ongoing basis.

The role involves collaborating with Manufacturing/Quality Engineers on new products, supporting NPI initiatives, and resolving on-floor programming issues. Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC-related experience in manufacturing (medical device or regulated manufacturing preferred, but not required).
• Minimum of 5 years CAM experience or equivalent complex manual programming.
• Ideal candidate has Heidenhain and/or hyperMILL experience.
• Strong knowledge of advanced inspection techniques and systems.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and meet deadlines.
• Basic project management skills.
• Demonstrated experience in complex programming and machining assignments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize production programs using CAM software.
• Create and maintain production documentation.
• Mentor and train production machinists.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineers to develop and refine manufacturing processes for new products.
• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) development teams and validation activities.
• Assist in training and transitioning processes to production personnel.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup and programming issues on the production floor.
• Support and guide CNC Programming Techs and CNC Programmers in NPI and production activities.
• Investigate, develop, and test custom tooling as needed.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned.
