Job summary

LMT Products in New Jersey is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with a strong background in injection mold tooling to join our precision manufacturing team. You will program CNC tool paths for mills, lathes, and EDMs, read technical drawings, optimize machining, set up programs on the shop floor, and collaborate with engineering to improve mold designs and manufacturability.

Safety and quality are paramount.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience, preferably in a mold making environment.
• Proficiency with MasterCam software; Mazatrol is a plus.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret 3D models.
• Experience designing electrodes for use with Sinker EDMs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC tool paths for mills, lathes, and/or EDM machines to produce components for injection mold tooling.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering specifications to fabricate precision tooling.
• Optimize machining strategies for efficiency, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy.
• Set up and prove out CNC programs on the shop floor, adjusting as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve mold designs and manufacturability.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety protocols.
