Job summary

Hi-Tek Manufacturing Inc is seeking an Applications Engineer / CNC Programmer in Mason, OH to develop new CNC processes, improve existing protocols, and mentor machinists on the shop floor. Qualifications

• 5+ years of machine shop experience in CNC milling, turning, or grinding.
• 5+ years of CNC programming experience required.
• 5+ Siemens NX experience required.
• FANUC and Okuma controls experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and translates drawings and specifications to coordinate set-ups and operations.
• Creates tooling paths using CAD/CAM software and selects cutting tools for 3, 4, 5-axis operations.
• Verifies tool paths in Vericut software and produces setup descriptions for machinists.
• Develops and mentors machinists; documents standards and engineering changes.
• Collaborates with engineers and machinists to resolve process or quality issues and drive improvements.
• Assists in designing fixtures and work-holding; evaluates cutting tools for high-temperature superalloys.
