Qualifications

• 5-10 years CNC programming experience with a focus on milling.
• Experience in a job-shop, prototype, or high-mix/low-volume environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Siemens NX CAD/CAM software.
• Expert-level programming for 3-, 4-, and multi-axis mill-turn equipment.
• Strong understanding of tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and toolpath optimization.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Solid grasp of shop math, machine controls, materials, and machining processes.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis mills and mill-turn machines using Siemens NX.
• Program prototype, one-off, and low-volume production components from drawings and CAD models.
• Develop machining strategies for billets, weldments, and assemblies.
• Analyze job orders, blueprints, specifications, and design data to determine machining methods, tooling, work holding, and cutting parameters.
• Support manufacturing during program prove-outs and first-piece production.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct simulations and verify toolpaths to ensure program accuracy and machine performance.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and manufacturing personnel to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and quality.

We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Programmer with expert-level Siemens NX experience to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging prototype and one-off components, including complex parts manufactured from exotic materials, gears, splines, weldments, and assemblies.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $55 - 60.00/hr. (DOE)

• Excellent knowledge of shop mathematics, machine controls, materials, and machining processes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
