Job summary

Jerpbak Bayless is seeking a Precision Manufacturing NC Programmer to own the full programming lifecycle, translating SolidWorks and prints into efficient toolpaths for 4‑, 5‑axis mills and lathes. You will select tooling, run prove‑outs, and optimize for stability and throughput on high‑mix parts.

The role requires 8+ years of CNC programming experience in a job shop, Mastercam mastery, and strong SolidWorks proficiency, with exposure to automation and post edits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years CNC programming in a job shop environment.
• Mastercam mastery; SolidWorks proficiency required.
• Extensive multi‑axis programming experience (4‑, 5‑axis) on mills and lathes.
• Expert in GD&T and blueprint interpretation; tight tolerances a must.
• Post edits, macro/parametric programming experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the full programming lifecycle from customer intent to production release.
• Translate SolidWorks models into actionable toolpaths for mills and lathes.
• Engineer advanced 4‑, 5‑axis toolpaths for prototypes and low‑volume runs.
• Select tooling, fixturing, and cutting parameters to meet tolerances and cycle times.
• Execute prove‑outs on the shop floor and optimize programs for stability.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and code issues; provide robust solutions.
• Create setup sheets and tooling documentation for setup personnel.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production; mentor as needed.
