Job summary

Decavo is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to develop, modify, validate, and maintain programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining centers used in aluminum tooling and composite trimming. You will determine tooling, workholding, feeds, speeds, and toolpaths, while creating setup documentation and supporting machinists during prove-out and production.

Qualifications

Five or more years of CNC programming and machining experience.
Proficiency with Mastercam or comparable CAD/CAM software.
Experience developing and troubleshooting programs for 3-axis CNC machining centers; 4- or 5-axis experience favored.
Ability to read engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T and tolerances.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs for aluminum tooling and composite trimming.
Translate drawings and specs into safe, repeatable machining processes.
Determine tooling, sequences, feeds, speeds, and toolpaths with input from Engineering/Production.
Simulate programs to check collisions and risks before release to production.
Develop setup sheets, tool lists, and documentation for repeatable execution.
Maintain program revision control and release status per document-control requirements.
Optimize programs to improve cycle time, tool life, quality, and utilization.
