Prince Industries, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer skilled in CAD/CAM to program and optimize 3-5 axis Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers, taking ownership from concept through production readiness. The role requires significant hands-on work and collaboration with engineering and shop teams.

The position involves travel up to 50% across six domestic locations, supporting setup, tool selections, and process improvements to reduce cycle times and improve quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years CNC programming experience.
• Proficiency with Mastercam.
• Strong knowledge of material machinability and cutting tools.
• Hands-on experience with 3–5 axis VMCs and HMCs.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Independent project ownership from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Create, optimize, and validate CNC programs for 3-5 axis machines using Mastercam.
• Interpret drawings and models to develop machining strategies.
• Design fixtures and work holding for repeatable processes.
• Select cutters, tooling, and parameters based on material and tolerance.
• Support setup and prove-out on the shop floor, adjust toolpaths as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers, production, and quality to ensure manufacturability.
