Job summary

Aerotek in Eugene, OR is seeking a Press Brake Operator to set up and operate CNC press brakes, read blueprints, select tooling, and perform quality checks throughout production.

Work schedule includes Mon–Thu 4:00 PM–2:30 AM and Fri 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, with pay of $20.75–$24.75/hr DOE plus $0.75/hr shift differential. This contract-to-hire role is onsite in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• 12 years in press brake operation, sheet metal fabrication, CNC machine operation, or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares, and other precision measuring tools.
• Hands-on experience with CNC press brake machines and related tooling.
• Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and quality control practices.
• Ability to follow production schedules, work orders, and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing accurate, high-quality parts.
• Commitment to working safely around CNC equipment and production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components to specified dimensions.
• Read blueprints, work orders, drawings, and production schedules to determine job requirements.
• Select, install, and align punches, dies, and tooling for each production run.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools.
• Perform first-piece inspections, in-process checks, and final quality inspections.
• Load, unload, and handle sheet metal safely throughout production.
