Job summary

Timesavers LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist in Maple Grove, MN to set up and operate CNC milling machines on low-volume, custom parts. You will read blueprints, select tooling, establish offsets, and edit CNC programs while performing first-piece and in-process inspections.

The role emphasizes independence, problem solving, and collaboration with Engineering to resolve machining challenges. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including significant CNC milling experience.
• Proven ability to independently perform complete CNC mill setups from start to finish.
• Experience machining low-volume, custom, prototype, or non-standard parts.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to select tooling and workholding, establish offsets, and make CNC program edits.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate CNC milling machines.
• Machine low-volume, custom and non-standard parts requiring frequent setups and changeovers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and workholding; establish machine and tool offsets.
• Determine machining sequences, feeds and speeds, and make CNC program edits at the machine.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot setup, tooling, programming, dimensional, and surface-finish issues.
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve machining and manufacturability issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
