Job summary

ABB in Athens, GA is seeking a Manufacturing Unit Manager with a strong background in CNC machining and manufacturing engineering to lead daily onsite operations. You will establish standards, drive safety, quality, and cost improvements while guiding equipment and process optimization for motor components.

The role requires ownership of tooling, automation Projects, and APQP activities, along with cross-functional leadership and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OEE and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in CNC machining.
• Proven track record of productivity, quality, throughput improvements.
• Experience leading capital equipment, tooling, and automation projects.
• Strong CNC machining, CAM, G-code, and fixture/workholding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize CNC machining processes for motor components.
• Lead readiness and execution for new products and tooling projects.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve OEE, capacity, and cost.
• Provide cross-functional leadership and mentor teammates.
