Job summary

EnviroTech, a Boise precision CNC machining company, seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate mills and lathes on tight-tolerance parts for aerospace, defense, medical, and semiconductor customers. You’ll own setups from print review through inspection in a swing shift role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional CNC machining experience
• Ability to independently set up jobs with minimal supervision
• Strong understanding of cutting tools, feeds and speeds, workholding, and machining processes
• Proficiency with precision measurement equipment and inspection techniques
• Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Preferred: experience programming or editing Mastercam or GibbsCAM
• Preferred: familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, Heidenhain, or Mitsubishi controls
• Preferred: 5-axis machining experience

Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate CNC mills and/or CNC lathes
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and job documentation
• Review part requirements and determine appropriate tooling, workholding, and machining methods
• Load tools, set work and tool offsets, and make necessary program adjustments
• Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment
• Identify and troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixturing, and dimensional issues
• Work closely with CNC programmers, quality personnel, and other machinists to resolve issues and improve processes
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established quality procedures
