Job summary

TriMas Company LLC is seeking a CNC Machinist II for the El Cajon, CA area. This 2nd shift, on-site role requires at least eight years of experience, setting up and machining aerospace parts with CNC lathes and mills.

You will read engineering drawings, interpret traveler instructions, and troubleshoot tooling and dimensional issues. The position pays $32.00–$36.00 per hour, is full-time, and requires on-site work four days a week.

Qualifications

• Read engineering drawings for tolerances and measurements.
• Proficient in interpreting traveler instructions and blueprints.
• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills; edit programs when needed.
• Identify and solve machining problems and wear or tool issues.
• Knowledge of feeds and speeds for various materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and edit CNC programs for lathes and mills.
• Read blueprints and related instructions to manufacture parts.
• Maintain tight tolerances and quality workmanship.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust tooling as needed.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracy.
