Job summary

Textron is seeking a Sr CNC Machinist to join its prototype and precision manufacturing team. You will set up and operate ProtoTRAK mills and CNC lathes, inspect first articles, and collaborate with engineering and quality to meet tight tolerances on high-precision parts.

This role involves tooling, offsets, process optimization, and ongoing training in advanced manufacturing technologies within aerospace and defense programs.

Qualifications

• G-code programming knowledge and experience with ProtoTRAK, HAAS or Mazatrol controls.
• Prototype, toolroom, or low-volume/high-mix machining experience.
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate ProtoTRAK CNC mills and CNC lathes.
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, CAD models, and process instructions.
• Perform tool setup, offsets, work-holding, and machine adjustments.
• Inspect first articles and production parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to improve efficiency and quality.
• Document production activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
