Job summary

MasterTech in Salt Lake City is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our precision manufacturing team. You will program, set up, and operate Mazak Mazatrol machines, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with engineers to interpret blueprints and CAD drawings.

The role emphasizes developing efficient machining strategies, mentoring junior machinists, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment while delivering high-quality parts. Overtime is available as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as CNC Machinist/Programmer, leadership preferred.
• Proficient with Mazatrol programming for Mazak machines.
• Strong understanding of G-code and CNC machining principles.
• Experience programming with Mastercam software.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate Mazak Mazatrol machines.
• Troubleshoot machinery and operate mills and lathes.
• Collaborate with engineers to interpret blueprints and CAD models.
• Develop and implement efficient machining strategies to boost productivity.
• Train and mentor junior machinists.
