Job summary

Edwards in Buffalo, NY, seeks a skilled CNC Machinist III to operate high‑precision equipment and mentor junior machinists while advancing continuous improvement initiatives. You will lead complex machining tasks and support safety, quality, and SOP compliance.

This role requires 8+ years of CNC experience, blueprint reading, GD&T and programming basics, and strong cross‑functional collaboration. You will work at Edwards Genesee and contribute to production readiness at the STAMP facility.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of CNC machining experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and CNC programming basics.
• Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting, setups, and precision adjustments.
• Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train junior machinists, supporting skill development and team knowledge transfer.
• Lead root‑cause analysis in collaboration with engineers and team leaders when technical issues arise.
• Champion 6S workplace practices and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
• Expertly operate and troubleshoot HMC, mill‑turn, grinder, and balancer machines across various part families.
• Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve complex machining or process issues.
• Recommend process optimizations and support pilot runs or new setups as needed.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in safety, quality, and SOP compliance.
