Job summary

Edwards Vacuum seeks an experienced CNC Machinist III to lead advanced machining operations, mentor teammates, and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will operate high‑precision machines, troubleshoot complex setups, and drive safe, quality‑driven results in a manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of CNC experience, strong reading of blueprints, GD&T, and programming basics, plus proven troubleshooting and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years CNC machining with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and CNC programming basics.
• Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting, setups, and precision adjustments.
• Strong communication skills and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines.
• Serve as subject matter expert in safety, quality, and SOP compliance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex machining or process issues.
• Champion 6S workplace practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead root‑cause analysis with engineers and team leaders when issues arise.
• Mentor and train junior machinists, supporting skill development and knowledge transfer.
• Recommend process optimizations and support pilot runs or new setups as needed.
