Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for our Archbald team. Responsible for setting up and operating CNC machining centers to produce mid to high complexity parts, you will interpret CAD data, select tools, and verify parts against specifications.

Responsibilities include tool offsets, CNC program loading, and performing secondary operations like deburring. Applicants must have solid experience with measuring equipment and reading blueprints, with U.S.

Qualifications

• 5 years or equivalent experience with production time standards and minimal defects.
• Experience in setup of lathe or milling machines.
• Proficient in use of measuring equipment and verifying conformance to specs.
• Proficient in reading complex mechanical blueprints.
• Experience with proper cutting tools selection and machine zeroing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers for mid to high complexity parts (horizontal and vertical).
• Select and install cutting tools; set tool offsets to meet quality standards.
• Load CNC programs and verify operation in machine control.
• Machine, fabricate, or assemble parts per print and specs.
• Interpret CAD data and follow written/verbal instructions; perform secondary operations like deburring.
• Inspect parts with gauges, micrometers, indicators, and calipers to ensure specs.
• Maintain coolant levels and monitor tool wear; adjust as needed to keep quality.
• Provide cross-training and feedback to improve processes and cycle times.
• Edit CNC programs as required; verify NC code during setup.
