Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a CNC Machinist Level 3 to operate and maintain CNC machining centers for boring, facing, threading, and other machining of metallic workpieces including castings, forgings, and bar stock.

Levels 1–3 represent progressive responsibilities with emphasis on programming, setup, and leading junior machinists while ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: At least five (5) years CNC machining experience or equivalent.
• Skills: GD&T print reading; geometry/trigonometry; advanced machining calculations.

Responsibilities

• Plan machining by reviewing work orders, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
• Program CNC machines and establish zero/reference points.
• Set up CNC machines with advanced fixturing and tooling.
• Verify first-run parts to ensure accuracy against standards.
• Troubleshoot processes and reprogram controls.
• Train and lead Level 1 and 2 machinists.
• Participate in lessons learned and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO14001 standards.
• Document production activity for shift continuity.
• Perform advanced preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs.
