Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathe centers for boring, facing, and threading on metal workpieces. You will program machines, install tooling, and verify first-run parts while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will read blueprints, apply GD&T, document logs, and contribute to continuous improvement. A background in AS9100/IS14001 is preferred along with 1+ year of CNC milling experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year CNC machining experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting GD&T in blueprints.
• Ability to set up, program, and operate CNC lathes with tool offsets.
• Proficient in measuring parts and ensuring tolerance adherence.

Responsibilities

• Plan machining by reviewing orders, drawings, and specs.
• Program CNC machines and set tool offsets and registers.
• Set up machines with chucks, tooling, and fixtures.
• Verify part dimensions and process compliance per standards.
• Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance as required.
• Document production and quality logs and communicate issues.
