Job summary

American Rheinmetall Vehicles is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist Level 3 to maintain and program precision CNC centers, performing boring, facing, threading, and other tasks on metallic parts such as castings and forgings. You will ensure accuracy and lead junior machinists when needed.

The role requires five years of CNC experience, GD&T proficiency, and the ability to work in a production environment with safety and quality standards such as AS9100.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with five years CNC machining experience preferred.
• Strong GD&T skills for interpreting drawings and tolerances.
• Proficient use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) and inspection practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan machining by reviewing orders, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
• Program CNC machines, set zero/reference points, and prove part programs.
• Set up machines with fixtures, tooling, and alignment.
• Verify first-run and sample parts meet specifications and standards.
• Lead and train Level 1–2 machinists and participate in process improvements.
