Job summary

TotalEnergies Group in Massachusetts is seeking a highly skilled CNC machinist to set up and operate mills and lathes for prototypes and production runs. You will read drawings and MBD files, perform first article and in-process inspections, and help mentor technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing cell.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of CNC experience, MasterCam and Proto Trak SLX experience, and a strong eye for quality, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be a self-starter with high technical aptitude.
• Experience performing First Article Inspections and in-process inspections.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, prints, and tolerances; strong geometry/maths relevance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to groups.
• Team player with leadership capabilities and professional demeanor.
• Must pass background check and obtain access to secure US military facilities; US citizen.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Safely and competently program set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
• Setup jobs for prototypes, first article and final production for short runs.
• Source material & tooling from approved vendors.
• Schedule machine repairs as needed.
• Assist lathe operators and production cell with issues.
• Inspect/assemble components to customer specs.
• Mentor technicians/engineers on manufacturing best practices.
