Job summary

Technetics Group is seeking a CNC Machinist III to lead and train machinists in a high-precision manufacturing cell, performing complex lathe and mill tasks and editing CNC programs. The role emphasizes producing parts within tight tolerances and sustaining 100% quality while meeting production rates.

The position requires 5+ years of CNC milling/turning experience, strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge, and the ability to set up and program simple CNC operations in a dynamic Illinois

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC Milling / Turning experience in a job shop environment.
• Ability to read drawings and apply GD&T.
• Ability to perform simple and complex CNC set-ups and edit programs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serves as machining SME within quality and cost.
• Performs new and/or complex set-ups and operates equipment to produce high quality parts within routed time.
• Debugs CNC programs and documents completed setups.
• Reads and interprets drawings to manufacture parts to close tolerances.
• Maintains equipment via preventative maintenance and follows quality procedures.
• Trains new operators and guides on interpreting GD&T.
