Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Senior Machinist to independently set up and operate CNC tools in a fast-paced hybrid R&D/production environment. You will own setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC parts from first article through production, reading drawings and programs, and guiding tooling and workholding decisions.

The role requires Haas Lathe/Mill experience, strong metrology skills, and the ability to train peers while upholding safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of CNC setup and operation experience.
• Proficient with Haas lathes/mills and Haas controls.
• Ability to read precision measuring instruments.
• Education generally equivalent to a journeyman trade school graduate.
• Strong math and English for shop documentation.
• 5-axis machining experience preferred.
• Okuma controls experience preferred.
• CNC programming experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines independently, adjust tooling, work holding.
• Troubleshoot setup and operation issues with tooling and auto-loading CNC tools.
• Read drawings and programs to plan machining and sequence operations.
• Input programs and perform dry runs prior to production run.
• Report programming/operation errors and collaborate with programmers and supervisors to fix them.
• Maintain accuracy and productivity throughout production run.
• Verify parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators).
• Perform Total Productive Maintenance and machine care daily.
