Job summary

Toray Advanced Composites is seeking a Machinist III for the Graveyard shift in Fairfield, CA. The role involves setting up and machining parts on CNC centers, following written directions, and supervising a Molding Technician to maximize throughput.

Candidate should have 7+ years of related CNC experience, strong GD&T knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and production specs. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years related experience or demonstrated ability.
• 5+ years on 3-axis VMC or HMC CNC machines.
• 5+ years on 4- and 5-axis VMC/HMC CNC machines a plus.
• Fundamental understanding of GD&T.
• Ability to read and interpret production specs and blueprints.
• Measure with calipers, micrometers, indicators.

Responsibilities

• Set up and machine parts using fixtures/CNC centers per written directions.
• May lead Molding Technician and oversee job requirements.
• Run jobs in department including first article production runs.
• Perform in-process and final inspections for quality.
