Job summary

Marotta Controls in Montville, NJ seeks a Development Machinist to join its R&D team. The role centers on turning blueprints into precise aerospace components using CNC centers and precision shop equipment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of related experience, a high school diploma, and strong math/blueprint reading skills. This position requires US citizenship and commitment to safety and quality while collaborating across departments.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with set-up and operation of precision CNC turning centers in an aerospace manufacturing environment preferred.
High School Diploma or Vocational/Technical schooling equivalent.
Strong math, blueprint reading, and interpretation of technical documents.
Effective verbal and written communication across levels.
Knowledge of GT&D practices, inspection methods, measurement tools, and root-cause investigations.
Commitment to company values and safety, with creative thinking for shop processes.
Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

Machinist in R&D creating products from specifications using a variety of tools and machines.
Set up and operate precision CNC turning centers and other high-tolerance equipment.
Multi-task and perform machine shop tasks while complying with safety and quality requirements.
Interact with personnel across the organization to support operations and strategy.
