Job summary

Marotta Controls, Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist II - Turning for the 2nd shift at our Montville, NJ facility. The role focuses on setting up and operating CNC turning centers to produce high-precision components for aerospace and defense programs.

You will review drawings, select tooling, and apply established quality practices to ensure first-pass success. We value hands-on technicians who can multi-task, follow safe procedures, and communicate effectively with team members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience setting up and operating precision CNC turning centers (aerospace mfg. environment preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED or technical training completed.
• Self-motivated with ability to analyze, organize, plan, multi-task and collaborate.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T in inspection and setup tasks.
• Must be a US citizen and comply with company safety and quality policies.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning centers to meet quality and production requirements.
• Review drawings, tooling, and operation sheets; ensure accurate part production.
• Troubleshoot processes and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain safe and organized work area and follow all regulatory requirements.
