Job summary

CONMED is seeking a Senior Machinist to set up and operate high-precision CNC equipment including 4/5-axis mills, Swiss machines, and live-tooling lathes. The role focuses on achieving tight tolerances, first-piece validation, and efficient production runs.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of experience on advanced CNC equipment and has completed the Senior Machinist Assessment, with a proven ability to mentor others in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two of the following requirements are met: 2–4 years of experience operating advanced CNC production equipment.
• Examples of advanced equipment include Swiss, Lathe and Mill machines with live tooling.
• Must have completed the Senior Machinist Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Set up advanced CNC machinery (4/5 axis mills, Swiss machines, lathes with live tooling) and operate multi-axis equipment.
• Maintain close tolerance dimensions and production rates.
• Verify and validate new set-ups and first piece runs; perform in-process inspection.
• Provide training to less experienced employees.
