Boom is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Engineer to own CNC machining of blisks, airfoils, and turbomachinery components in Centennial, Colorado. You will develop strategies, design fixtures, and program for reliable, lights‑out production on advanced 5-axis systems.
You will lead tooling, posts, macros, and probing routines, and mentor engineers, programmers, machinists, and operators while optimizing cycle times and tool life in a high‑efficiency environment.
At Boom we are developing Symphony — the engine that will power Overture, the world's fastest airliner and Superpower, the natural gas turbine and revenue engine that fuels our endeavors while unblocking next-gen AI data centers. We are building it in Denver, at a pace and cost point the industry says is impossible, because the industry has forgotten what's possible.
We are looking for a Principal Manufacturing Engineer with deep hands-on expertise in CNC machining complex turbomachinery components, including blisks, airfoils, and other difficult aerospace hardware. You will own the process from model and drawing through production—developing the machining strategy, designing workholding, selecting tooling, programming, proving out the process, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing for reliable production.
Build the parts that other people struggle to make.
