Job summary

You will own the process from model and drawing through production, developing machining strategy, workholding, tooling, and programs for reliable, lights-out production. The role requires expert-level CNC programming, 5-axis machining, and the ability to optimize cycle time, tool life, and machine utilization.

Qualifications

• Expert-level CNC programming with a high-end CAM system.
• Deep knowledge of CNC machines, controls, posts and macros.
• Significant experience machining turbomachinery hardware.
• Production experience with Inconel, nickel-based superalloys or titanium.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own CNC machining processes for turbomachinery components.
• Program advanced 5-axis machining using CAM software.
• Develop toolpaths, fixtures, posts and probing routines.
• Set up and prove out difficult processes directly on the machine.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to program, tooling, fixture or cutting conditions.
• Optimize cycle time, tool life and machine utilization.
• Engineer reliable, lights-out machining processes.
• Train and mentor engineers, programmers and machinists.
• Lead technically challenging projects.
